We are ensuring it is 'business as usual' at the Royal Albert Hall operations during work to upgrade its heating system.
We are upgrading the heating and cooling systems at the Grade 1 Listed Royal Albert Hall in South Kensington.
This includes replacing the existing steam heating system with a new Low Temperature Hot Water system.
The phased works are carried out at night to minimise impact on the venue’s operation.
Our project team devised a workable solution which allows the hall to remain fully operational and maintains provision of heating to 80% of the venue at all times.
The methodology we developed enabled the work to be completed in just 18 months. This avoided the Hall having to either shut for a period or complete the work six months at a time over six years.
We developed a working methodology using welded stainless steel pipework and orbital welding which eliminates the need for hot works in key high risk areas.
