The college’s two new campuses will together be capable of accommodating 40,000 students and 1,200 staff.
City of Glasgow College’s two new city centre campuses will cater for 40,000 students and 1,200 staff.
The circa 70,000m2 development comprises two new buildings constructed on land at Cathedral Street and at Thistle Street on the banks of the River Clyde.
The design ensures every part of the campuses can be harnessed to support learning, wireless networks permeating each area from the library spaces to the surrounding landscape.
Our team is working to support the college’s aspiration of maintaining the highest quality learning experience for students. A full-time team has worked to develop a strategy for the logistically complex, multi-phased migration of the staff and students and the relocation and integration of existing specialist equipment.
We are working with our supply chain to provide opportunities for new entrants, SMEs and social enterprises. We are also working with the college and our supply chain on a Construction Youth Trust programme.
The company leads the Glasgow Learning Quarter consortium which was awarded the contract to design, build, finance and maintain the campuses under a 25-year concession.
Our City Campus and Riverside Campus teams won Silver Considerate Constructors Scheme National Site Awards in 2016.
