General Information

A wide-ranging enabling works and infrastructure improvement scheme was undertaken across the site of Greenlaw Park near Glasgow.

The roads network was significantly improved and new utilities provided, while major diversions to services included re-routing high voltage overhead cables to run underground. Two 170m tunnels were also bored for the storm and foul drainage systems.

In addition to provision of parking, landscaping and associated earthworks, the scheme also involved road improvements outside the development.

With part of the site formerly used for domestic landfill, an extensive soil remediation programme involved the screening of 40,000m3 of excavated material.

In some areas the project involved working over and under existing railway structures, the age and condition of which meant extensive monitoring was required. This was undertaken in close cooperation with Network Rail.
