This luxury apartment block adds to our portfolio of prime residential schemes delivered in central London.
Occupying a prime Chelsea location, Cheyne Terrace provides 26 luxury apartments featuring generous roof terraces and balconies. The development also incorporates a gym, spa, swimming pool and car park.
The apartments are highly serviced and feature air-conditioning, underfloor heating, high-spec lighting controls and the latest data and communications provision, all of which, and more, were installed within minimal service voids.
To avoid using a hoist, which risked compromising the integrity of the external detailing and finishes, we set a tower crane on top of the building’s core and used the apartments’ terraces and balconies to provide access.
Our Design Group devised an alternative foundation solution under which a raft slab replaced the proposed piles. Design Group also value engineered the temporary works for the perimeter containment which allowed a sheet pile solution to replace five complex processes.
The development was named Medium Development of the Year at the 2014 Premier Guarantee Excellence Awards.
The project also won Silver at the 2013 Considerate Constructors Scheme National Site Awards.
